Debbie lived in The San Francisco Bay Area most of her life. She was raised in a large, loving, close-knit family. She met her husband John, who is from Washington, while vacationing in Cabo San Lucas in 1998. They married in 2004 and Debbie moved to Washington state. Who said long distance relationships don’t work?
Debbie is blessed with two daughters, LaTosha and Jewel who are 28 years apart. Yes! God has a sense of humor. She also has three grandchildren Kylan, Angel, and Jerridan. She lives on a small 5 acre farm in Monroe. Debbie is a member of the Rock Church in Monroe and loves volunteering on the Creative Arts Team.
Debbie started working with the developmentally disabled population in 1994 as an Administrative Assistant for a non-profit organization (C.C.A.R.C.) in a Community Access Program in California. She loved the idea of making positive changes in the lives of the clients. As a result, she explored many other areas in the field and has experience working in Respite Care, a Large Group Home Facility, Supported Living and Personal Home Care settings.
Debbie believes that hard work and a driving passion to make a difference in clients’ lives is what brought her to Camelot Society. She has served as the Facility Manager of the Carlton Group Home, and as a Supported Living Program Manager. She is currently Camelot’s Community Connections Coordinator.
